Our Mission: She Rises Community Support Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to supporting women, children, and families experiencing financial hardship, housing instability, and disability-related challenges. We strengthen family stability through advocacy, education, and connection to community resources.

Our Vision: A community where families raising children with developmental disabilities have the support, knowledge, and resources needed to thrive — free from the barriers of systemic complexity.

What We Do

Four Core Programs Driving Impact

We deliver targeted, family-centered programs that address the full spectrum of need.

Family Advocacy & Resource Navigation

Individualized, one-on-one guidance to help families access disability services, understand their rights, and navigate complex support systems including DBHDD and Medicaid waivers.

Caregiver Education & Support

Comprehensive workshops and peer support opportunities designed to empower caregivers with the tools necessary to manage the unique stressors of raising a child with developmental disabilities.

Community Resource Coordination

Acting as a central hub, we connect families with local nonprofit organizations and community services to address immediate needs including housing stabilization and emergency assistance.

Family Leadership & Advocacy

Training family advocates to participate in community conversations, engage with policymakers, and drive systemic improvements at the local and state levels.

Our Founder

Born from Lived Experience

She Rises Community Support Foundation was founded by Dana Robinson, a parent and advocate who understands firsthand the challenges families face when navigating systems designed to support children with developmental disabilities.

Like many parents, Dana experienced how difficult it can be to locate resources, coordinate services, and advocate for a child's needs while also maintaining stability for the household.

Through these experiences, Dana recognized that many families are facing the same obstacles — not because services do not exist, but because navigating those systems can be overwhelming without support.
